Congratulations to Dr Nancy Bertler, winner of the Hutt City Council-sponsored Science & Technology category at “The Wellys” Awards at Te Papa in Wellington last night.
Dr Bertler is a pioneer in climate research and manages the New Zealand Ice Core Research Laboratory at GNS Science iin Gracefield, Lower Hutt. An Associate Professor at the Antarctic Research Centre at Victoria University and GNS Science, she has also led 13 expeditions to Antarctica.
GNS Science plays an important part in the Hutt Valley's long tradition of industry and innovation in science and technology.
