Back in November '15 we reported on Metal Art's role is the Soft Plastic Recycling. Since the initial launch involving major Auckland retailers, the scheme has spread to Hamilton and Christchurch with more centres to follow. The first full container of soft plastics 17,000kgs, has arrived at the factory for processing into recycled plastic products. Metal Art are looking forward to taking delivery of more recycled plastic furniture, bollards, Enduroplank™ decking etc. to meet the growing demand for Replas products. One place their recycled plastics currently being installed is in a 220m beach boardwalk in Waitara. This installation alone is utilising 3,681,500 recycled plastic bags.
